“BUY IT NOW!” price is a PRECIOUS 17″ VINTAGE FACTORY ORIGINAL FRENCH “POIR” PRESSED CLOTH DOLL!
If you are looking for an EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE of an elusive and RARE early vintage cloth doll that will rival even her Italian neighbor LENCI, then you will love this sweet little doll in her sweet and ORIGINAL ENSEMBLE——she is just ADORABLE!
She will steal your heart
with her original long and luxurious auburn MOHAIR WIG wig and artfully painted and molded cloth features including heather green SIDE GLANCING eyes, eyeshadowed lids and painted upper INDIVIDUAL EYELASHES, full painted RED LIPS, and beautiful DRAMATIC COLORING!
Made in FRANCE by the renowned GRE POIR doll company circa 1925 to 1930, she is dressed in her adorable FACTORY ORIGINAL ensemble consisting of a fancy ecru colored ORGANDY DRESS with four rows of WHITE LACE trim encircling the bottom, and a cute MATCHING BONNET with pretty pink silk ribbon ties!   Underneath she wears her original white cotton lace trimmed “ONESIE” and original ecru ribbed COTTON SOCKS and her original white CLOTH SHOES with side buttons!
Her original STUFFED CLOTH body is jointed at the neck, upper arms and legs, and her hands have INDIVIDUALLY STITCHED lines between her fingers and and a separately formed thumb; there are no marks that we can see.  Although her head is jointed it is a little stiff when turning, but other than some overall minor age wear including a faint water mark on her arm and some soiling to her shoes, she is in otherwise DISPLAY READY condition for your collection!
