Rocky Mountain Pottery Vintage Madonna/Virgin Mary Figurine Woodgrain

For auction is a Rare Vintage Rocky Mountain Pottery Madonna/Virgin Mary Woodgrain figurine.  This is an amazing find!  The piece stands 13 1/2 inches tall and is 4 1/2 inches across the base.  There are no chips or cracks at all on the figurine.  I have captures some places where there are spots that the finish has rubbed off.  They are not chips, but more like a tiny scratch on the surface that has taken off the paint.  To me, it seems to add to the realness of the woodgrain pattern, but just wanted you to know they are present, as you might expect with a piece of this age, which from what I gathered researching online was the mid to late 1950’s, as the woodgrain pattern was some of the first pieces produced by the pottery company.
You can see the original stamped mark and even an original price in pencil of $2.98.  This piece is just really stunning and unique.  It would make a great addition to your mid-century decor.  Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
