Featured here is a gorgeous American Character OOAK Sweet Sue doll dressed in a beautiful Fall outfit — skirt, blouse and lined velvet coat and hat, purse and shoes. She is stepping out in style in her vintage handmade matching skirt and blouse, and lovely lined coat and hat. The hat features a large gold satin bow, is lined in gold and has a gorgeous dark brown feather and spray of vintage flowers; it is held to her head with a vintage bead hat pin. It can be pinned with the bow in front or in back, to change her look. The coat is also lined in gold satin, has pearl buttons and a lovely vintage corsage pinned just below her left lapel. The corsage has a beautiful purple pansy to compliment the deep dark purple of the velvet coat. The handbag is fabric and dimensional, with vintage trim and black cord handles. Her shoes are black leatherette and fit her perfectly. I have never taken them off. She wears white cotton panties trimmed in sweet lace, with an elastic waist. Her slip is flaring stiff white tulle and the perfect length for her skirt. Her skirt and tucked in blouse match, made from the same fabric — a satin in a deep rust brandy color, with black trim accents. These pieces have tiny hooks and eyes at back to fasten.
The  20 inch Sweet Sue by American Character has the classic old fashioned doll face, with wistful open and close blue grey eyes and a sweet red rosebud mouth, rosy cheeks, full brush lashes and two stroke eye brows.
This doll has the MOST GORGEOUS WIG of any of my Sweet Sue dolls — with wonderful waves and curling bangs across her forehead. She can be posed holding her hat, hatless, or with it pinned to her curls.
This doll has painted fingernails (she came to me this way). She has the beautiful suntan complexion and body finish of these vintage dolls. This doll has been repaired at some point in her life, by a prior owner, as there is a noted difference in paint around her hip joints and arm sockets. Despite these noted minor fixes, she is still a wonderful, classic Sweet Sue and would make a stunning addition to your vintage doll collection.
She has been part of my personal collection, kept in a bookcase/display case  in a darkened doll room in my SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home. She will be wrapped very well for shipping. I take great care to wrap and pack my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. This doll can stand leaning against the chair, as shown or with a doll stand. A doll stand will be included so that she will be ready to display on arrival. No other props in the photos are included in this listing — only the dressed doll with her accessories and her doll stand.
