These stamps were issued in 1949, on the 100th anniversary of Poe’s death (1809-1849), to pay tribute to this great American author.
All stamps are guaranteed to be fault-free with full, undisturbed, original gum. The block also includes the information insert shown. It would look great framed and would make a great gift!
Please note that because of the white borders of the insert and stamps, they have been scanned against a black background for a better view. The stamps are not mounted to any surface – their original gum has not been disturbed in any way. All blocks are shipped in protective glassine envelopes.
