This doll is intended for a doll collector.
1951 American Character Sweet Sue doll, 20″ tall, pre-teen type, hard plastic doll with vinyl jointed arms. This is a head turning walker, fully jointed with bendable knees, straight ankles. Sweet Sue is dressed in a elaborate, beautiful gown of silk or satin,
Many of these dolls from this time period were unmarked, this doll is unmarked to the best of my ability to view the body of the doll, I will not remove the clothing. The hips and sides of the doll are perfect no splits.
there are a few issues with this doll, the center portion of the lashes are broken off, see photos. the gown is discolored due to age, needs cleaning. The tiered tule is frail and there are several area that have separated, the dress can be repaired. I do not believe that the dress, undergarments or original shoes have ever been removed from the doll. the doll stand is included in this sale.
